2021 Resource Governance Index Report
Following the release of assessments of the oil, gas and mining sectors in 17 countries, NRGI has published analysis detailing cross-country trends over time and general recommendations. The new report covers anticorruption, energy transition, state-owned enterprises, implementation gaps and more.

This is Big: Mining Industry Body Commits to Contract Disclosure
The International Council on Mining and Metals announced that its 28 members had agreed a new commitment on contract transparency.
NRGI Appoints New Chief Program Officer and Senior Director of Programs
NRGI's Patrick Heller has been appointed chief program officer, effective January. Patrick will work with NRGI colleagues to drive programs that help resource-rich countries confront longstanding challenges and navigate energy transition. NRGI has also appointed Ana Carolina González Espinosa as senior director for programs, effective February. Ana Carolina will coordinate staff to advance gender, youth, communities and energy transition work, and will also oversee political economy analysis.
