Reversing the Resource Curse: Theory and Practice 2019
The Leveraging Transparency to Reduce Corruption project, led by the Brookings Institution and supported by Results for Development and NRGI, has shared an annotated bibliography of more than 150 books, papers, tools/datasets, and other resources addressing transparency, accountability and participation efforts along the natural resource value chain. Opening Up Ownership: Africa EITI Conference on Beneficial Ownership Transparency
Through EITI and other global and regional efforts to tackle the challenges posed by hidden ownership, African countries are taking the lead in improving beneficial ownership transparency in extractives. This conference will engage various stakeholders from government, civil society and companies to seek a way forward on beneficial ownership in Africa. Today, Daniel Kaufmann will speak to the press alongside Sengalese Minister of Justice Ismaila Madior Fall and EITI chairman Fredrik Reinfeldt.
