Natural Resource Revenue Sharing

A new NRGI and United Nations Development Programme report provides a comprehensive summary of resource revenue sharing regimes around the world and offers advice to policymakers establishing or reforming such systems. Is Peru Losing Out on Oil Exports?
Potentially vast amounts of capital leave developing countries unrecorded, in part through misinvoicing of commodity exports. NRGI advisory council member Humberto Campodónico and economist César Carrera investigated a particular case of this phenomenon: whether gold mining companies in Peru were exporting their production at a discount and evading taxes and royalties in the country.
