Eric Bisil
Africa/Guinea Program Officer
Previously, Eric worked with the Center for the Environment and for Development (Cameroon) as extractives industries program coordinator. There, Eric helped develop and implement the strategic program for the extractive industry. Eric is the author of a guidance book for civil society organizations working on EITI. He was one of the CSO representatives at the Cameroon EITI multi-stakeholder group where he led in 2014 the improvement of the 2014-2016 Cameroon EITI action plan. Eric has been associated with the ongoing revision of the Cameroon mining code. Eric was also a member of the PWYP-Cameroon coalition where he significantly work for his revitalization. And in August 2014 he served as instructor at the NRGI Francophone Africa Knowledge Hub.
Eric is responsible for the coordination of NRGI’s work in Guinea with decisionmakers in parliament, civil society organizations and the media, ensuring synergies and identifying new opportunities.
Eric holds a master’s in environmental sciences from the University of Yaoundé 1 Cameroon and has ongoing capacity development studies in extractive industries governance issues.
